Idle-Motorized Roller in carbon fiber

The Idle carbon fiber roller is usually employed in all the rotational machines of converting lines for plastic film, tissue, nonwoven, labeling, etc. These rollers must ensure high stiffness and absence of vibrations in order to guide the film along the production line and guarantee a minimum inertia. The superior stiffness achievable by the carbon fiber guarantees, even under high mechanical tension, minimal inflections that in turn allows higher operational speed (beyond 2500 m/min).

In the field of plastic film, carbon fiber surface roughness of Ra < 0.5 μm is required.


MOTORIZED VERSION
In the motorized version, the velocity of the roller can be adjusted by a coupled motor. The Motorized roller controls and adjusts the mechanical tension of the film according to the requirements. A load cell mounted at the tip of the roller is able to measure the tension of the tissue and controls the rotational velocity of the motor.
Generally motorized roller is coated by tungsten carbides.
